Part 1
Last February my daughter Sari along with my sister Brenda Lewis and brother in law Alan Lewis visited Israel for a week to attend the 90th birthday of our dear Cousin Avraham Harshalom a holocaust survivor we reunited with after 66 years. We also had the honor and privilege of meeting and spending time with relatives on the Ben-Ami and Fridberg sides. We were welcomed with open arms filled with love and happiness. It was one of the most special times in our lives. Now that I have given you a little background on why we traveled to Israel, I’ll tell you the story behind this photograph.
When I travel I like to get up early and walk around the city that i’m staying in before it “Wakes Up” , before people, cars and other things start moving. There is always something special around every corner if you look. This particular morning I was walking around the boardwalk along the Mediterranean in Tel Aviv. I saw this marina on the waterfront and decide to explore. It was just like someone set up all the green and orange sailboats for a photo shoot, so I took the shot and it was a winner. Tel Aviv is a incredible international city that has something to offer anyone. You should visit there very soon.
Check back tomorrow for Part 2, JNF selects a winner!
